(calling this current, hopefully arriving in a few days to replace my old STFM)

This has been my dream set up for a while; seriously stoked to be running with this...

main puter: Atari 520 STe with TOS v2.06, upgraded to 4mb RAM
storage: internal floppy drive and a UltraSatan HD.
Mouse: USB mouse connected to a  KMTech MKIV adapter.

*edit* I don't think the USB mouse that I have here is (fully?) PS/2 compatible, as I found it erratic and randomly inactive. (I have resoldered the mouse port in the ST, just in case) and whilst browsing online for a PS/2 comp USB mouse I found a bundle of an original ST mouse and external floppy drive at a very fair price, so mouse is now original. Cool

To complete to scenario:

Running Degas Elite (hopefully, if it's compatible?) but may upgrade to more colours to make use of the extra spec, though i'm kind of lo-res scratchy artiST lol

Running Trans D-Bug Express to transfer completed STuff from the floppies I'm working on to floppy images for archive/upload/distribution to folks that don't want a floppy disk posted.

Running FAST COPY Pro to copy disks for peeps that want STuff in the post (I have 1 million blanks floppies, literally, so it's not a problem).

Will post up some pix once it's all here and settled....

I am very pleased to announce that the STe arrived and now has pride of place in the creation corner!

The UltraSatan arrived too, and I've been having a lot of fun getting to grips with all the power! Having a few hiccups with compatibility (TOS 20#.06 or the STe/4mB part, not sure... TOS i guess?) but it's nothing ground breaking so far.

It really is an /|\wesome sySTem and I'm so pleased to be back in the game again!

Talking of games, I even managed a spin on Chaos Engine and Rick Dangerous last night; I haven't been able to play Cannon Fodder yet as I don't have a mouse.

The mouse is on the way; I have found a bundle very cheap which was an ST mouse, and external drive and some other bobs n bits. Be cool to be back in the two drive set up (even though I've got the HD now, I love the idea of randomly copying millions of floppies just cos I've got two drives and a crate of blanks Cool

Anyhoo, I've already got my first release for 2018 underway; it's a tune that I wrote to help raise some awareness for FreeLauri.com. It's a FLAC audio (written in Peter's awesome Project Ymer and converted from an exported WAV in Audacity). Originally, I wanted a modern audio file with an ST feel (hence Project Ymer) but I've now (naturally) exported the YM file to ST and added a picture for an ST version.

Wow, that's enough of the waffle!

......keep it Atari and #CreateYourOwnWay

I'll have to show this the boss to stop her moaning about HER bedroom being taken over by my little titchy ST/Mac corner!! That is cluttered choas - a true users environment rather than something clean and tidy as if on display. Awesome!!
